Mission Statement

The Night's Shield is a Southern Illinois grass roots effort to provide a safe haven and shelter to children who have been removed and from their homes due to abuse, neglect, and/or abandonment. We currently serve the 37 counties that make up the lower part of Illinois, but are able to accept children from the entire state.  We specialize in accepting and housing sibling groups to ensure adequate time for all the children to be placed together.

Donations can be sent directly to the Shelter at the address listed above in the form of a check.  We are currenly working on being able to accept credit card donations, but unfortunately can not process them at this time.

Volunteers are needed on an every day basis.  If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please call Judy Davis at 618-932-6400.
